State of Oklahoma OEM Safe Room Rebate Program -
Governor Mary Fallin kicked off the
Sooner Safe - Safe Room Rebate Program. With this
announcement, more than $1 million in rebates were made
available to Oklahoma homeowners for the construction of
individual safe rooms and storm shelters. Officials
anticipate the funding will help deliver about 500 safe
rooms. |

During our City Council Public Meeting
March 29, 2011 at City Hall, a Brief presentation was
given to City Council from our Independent auditors who
stated our City financials are in “Excellent Financial
Health” standing compared to many cities. With our
conservative approach we are saved up for rainy days.

Piedmont has new Floodplain Ordinances - The new
floodplain ordinance has been in effective since
September 26, 2008. To check out if your property is in a
flood zone, please visit
FEMA's
new website. We have been notified that mortgage companies
have been receiving letters from FEMA informing them of
properties that are now in a flood zone that previously were
not. Please note that this is a FEMA requirement. |
