Business Incentive Grant Program

Thank you for your interest in the Piedmont Economic Authority's Grant Program. The Piedmont Economic Authority (PEA) is chartered and funded by the City of Piedmont to encourage the general development and economic well being of its citizens. In addition, the PEA is empowered to consider appropriate financial reimbursements to businesses locating within the city.

While any business activity is invited to make a grant application, applicants should be aware that new sales tax-generating businesses are most likely to receive financial grant assistance.

All eligible reimbursements must meet the following conditions:

 Incentive Grant for New Businesses (Retail – Sales Tax Generating)

a)     Duration – 2 years

b)     Grant Award

• 1st year Percentage – 40% reimbursement of City sales tax actually paid.

• 2nd year Percentage – 20% reimbursement of City sales tax actually paid for the second year.

c)     Payout – quarterly

d)     Retail establishment must be identified prior to reimbursements based on verified confidential sales tax receipts.
