Mike Fina was born and raised in Piedmont. He attended Piedmont Schools graduating in 1990. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Southwest Texas State University, now known as Texas State University located in San Marcos Texas. Mike currently is the Spokesperson for the Oklahoma Department of Tourism and formerly worked as the Press Secretary for Oklahoma Speaker of the House Larry E. Adair. Mike is the youngest son of Barbara and George Fina. His father, a former mayor of Piedmont, held the Ward 2 position prior to Mike's election in 2006. In the community Mike serves on the Board of Directors for the Piedmont Chamber of Commerce and was named Most Dedicated Member in 2005. He is a member of the Piedmont Leadership Academy and a graduate of Leadership Canadian County. Recently he was selected as one of OKC Business 2006 Forty under 40, recognizing persons younger than 40 who have made outstanding contributions to Central Oklahoma through their professional and community endeavors.
